Metro General Contracting (MGC) is a family-owned and operated business. We opened our doors and made our talents available to the local Maryland, Virginia, and Metro-DC area over 20 years ago in 1989!

In 2005 we had the pipes in our house re-done and the dining room ceiling had to be partially knocked down. The plumber recommended MGC to repair the ceiling. I was so impressed not only with the quality of the work but also how neat they were. For the past 9 years they have done all the work that needed to be done in our house from painting, bathrooms, floors, building stairs and more. Their work is not only beautiful but professional. There is such pride in their work; a rare trait these days. Marcos has had great ideas for our house - even dissuading me from some of my own. And he has been right every time! Marcos and his team at MGC are fabulous. When renovations first started, I had to unexpectedly move into my home (I had planned to have the renovations completed BEFORE I moved in). The team meticulously taped around the area that I was staying in to ensure that I experienced no inconvenience. I felt very comfortable with them having full access to my home at all times while I was at work, and each and every day, I would arrive home to yet another wonderful surprise of progress. In addition, after each renovation was completed the house was completely cleaned, with no dust or debris left for me to clean up. I have just recently used MGC on a rental unit of mine, and their work was again, beautiful. - New Sunroom Addition-featuring cedar shake roof, Pella (triple-pane) casement windows, fir-bead wood ceiling, and Australian Cypress wood floors.
- Basement-complete fit-out of "unfinished" basement, including frame & drywall new rooms, paint, ceiling, carpet, lighting, electrical, and HVAC. One highlight is the heavy-textured (spray-on) walls, which give a "Southwestern/Rustic" appearance.
- Prime, Trim, and Paint-exterior and interior of home. Replaced rotten wood trim on exterior of windows/doors with plastic/synthetic wood for longevity & durability. Repaired, replaced, and upgraded exterior entry/exit doors on front, rear, and side. Also repaired, primed, and painted garage door.
- Bathrooms-complete renovation of (2)-Full & (2)-Half Baths featuring new fixtures, tops, cabinets, water closets, tub, shower, lighting, and exhaust fans.
